Welcome to the Stonybrook Connemaras web site! Since 1979 our family has bred, trained and performed Connemara ponies. Initially, four foundation mares were carefully selected for their performance bloodlines and native Connemara type—Wee Bit 'O Heather, Balius Kerry Blue, Tower Hills Eoghan and Balius Golden Piper. In
1991, following months and years
of study, we imported two Irish-bred
Connemara colts to further enhance
our breeding program--*Canal Laurinston
and *Kingstown Joe. Both
stallions have made significant positive
contributions to the breed, not only
for "Stonybrook," but
for breeding In 2007, Stonybrook Connemaras discontinued its mare and foal program, placing mares with well respected breeders across the continent. *Canal
Laurinston continues to stand at
stud and is ever watchful for an
